Botswana - First, we have to exit Namibia with a form and a stamp. Funny enough, some apparently got a wrong stamp at the airport. The date they entered Namibia is later than their departure date. A bit further, we stop at the Botswana border. Again, the form and stamp. By now, we know the bus license plate by heart. After formalities, we enter Botswana. Botswana is one hour ahead, so the clocks must be adjusted. It is unclear how much money we will need during these days in Botswana, and whether we can pay in Rand or Dollars. Probably not much for those few days. We drive by bus to the campsite. There we find we can pay with all common currencies (ZAR, NAD, BOP, USD, and EUR). The exchange rate probably already yields enough profit. At the campsite, for 2 euros, we upgrade to an overnight stay in a traditional thatched hut. The hut has two stretchers with mattresses. There is also a mosquito net (though not immediately needed with the night temperatures). Electricity is also available. While we set up the hut, Thomas prepares lunch. After lunch, we go out with the Bushmen tribe of the San tribe. This traditional tribe lives in the Kalahari Desert. During the walk through the surroundings, they show how they live in nature. For example, how they apply poison to their arrows, how they get water from fruits, and how they make fire. The explanation is fun, but communication is very difficult. Around sunset, we walk back to the campsite.
