Jamaica - After lunch, I drive back to Black River. From there, I take a small fishing boat to the Pelican Bar—a bar built on stilts about 500 meters off the coast, out at sea. I sip my beer on the rickety-looking dock as the sea breeze blows through my hair. What a unique place to run a bar. Around 4:30 PM, I return to the hotel in Treasure Beach. I order a drink on the terrace. I swim a few laps in the pool and take a shower. For dinner, I head back into the village. Right next to the restaurant I went to yesterday is Jake’s Sprat restaurant. As I walk into the garden, I see some scattered tables. Only locals are eating here. I ask if a table is available. “Just order at the counter and sit wherever you like.” Wonderful. This is how I imagined Jamaica. My jerk sausage pizza tastes perfect.
