Luxembourg - Little Switzerland lies on the border of Germany and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg along the Sure River. The fantastic hikes you can take here in an imaginative world attract many tourists. There is a network of paths with caves, cracks, grottoes, and bizarre rock formations. This is a dream world for young and old. At times, you feel like you’re in a scene from “Lord of the Rings,” where a troll could appear from behind a tree or rock at any moment. So it’s also a fun place to hike with kids. A good base for all these beautiful trips is Echternach. Beautifully situated in a privileged natural setting, Echternach has long been the center of a picturesque area whose vast forests, clear streams, strangely shaped rocks, and deep ravines have rightfully earned it the nickname “Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland” and a showcase within the German-Luxembourg Nature Park.
